A Brand New Day.

Hello.

So I decided to make a blog... possibly a photography blog.

My story is simple, I didn't dream of becoming attached to a camera or inspired by the works of other photographers (wait maybe a little), I just happened to discover that taking photos is something I really like to do as a hobby.

The decision of making a photography blog was pretty simple. Hang on, let's go back a bit more. It all started when my sister was going to have her 18th Host Club Birthday Party (butlers&maids&60s). Since the party was going to be EPIC, wait not epic but huge, I decided to be her photographer for the party. However, the only camera we possessed was a Olympus digital camera so I decided to upgrade to an advanced camera, well not advanced like the Canon DSLR or something but something better than the digital camera. The camera I bought for the party was a GE X5 digital camera. The camera took great photos and then afterwards, my obsession of taking photos began... I used it for friend's High Tea party and my semi-formal (over 200 photos... I know right) and many more events. It was only in March '11 that I had bought this camera and my obsession continued because in December '11, I bought... wait for it... a SONY NEX 5N. I love this camera, even though many people used the Canon DSLR or Nikon but in my opinion this camera is as good, maybe a tad better :)

I have been using this camera ever since.

Photography allows me to capture things that I wouldn't have noticed with just my eyes. I feel so happy every time the photos turn out beautiful than I had expected. Even on special events such as my formal, people would always see me with the camera in my hands instead of a clutch.

People who saw this said: "Stop taking photos!"
I would reply: "But it's for my memories."
"It's not memories if you're not in it."
"The photos become my memories because I was the one who took them."

All the photographs I have taken lead me to enter photography competitions and browsing through photography websites and eventually to making a blog for the photos I've taken so far.
