Second With An Unfinished Project

Hello :)

So today's post is about something that happened last Saturday. Yeah I know I lost track of time with school and everything. Anyways, not so long ago... I got shortlisted and was invited to the judging event for the Young ICT Explorer Competition. Although I was absolutely happy, I felt the pressure building as the judging day, Saturday 11th August was a few days away. For the competition, I decided to present my game that I have been working on as an IT assignment this term but the judging day was before the assignment was actually due. So I had to fast-forward everything. Spending every chance I got to work on my project.

On the day of the competition, yes early in the morning and during the event, I was still working on my project, that just shows how much I still had to do. But luckily I was thinking fast that day, I quickly changed things around and showed the judges what appeared to be a "finished" project. Well, they might have seen there were a few problems in some places... I don't know.

Okay, so during the announcement of the winners, I was nervous like crazy! The announcement and awards took a long time because they had to announce winners from Year 4-5 division to Year 10-12 division (my division of course) and I was nervous straight through the whole announcement. But something amazing did happen, I don't know how but it could've been my graphics or my sound or programming that made me got...

My game was competing with car robots, controlled using wifi and a business car reader... epic! All created by guys, not saying anything but they do create amazing things... in highschool. Anyways, I'm actually really happy to come second with an unfinished project! WOOHOOO! Oh I also won an ipod nano! How cool is that :)
