First of all, I bought these shadow frames from Typo. I could always count on Typo to have something that I could use to make presents. I actually would've bought two big frames but I saw the small frame first and without thinking who to give it to, I just bought one and then when I came back, I saw the big one and I just bought it too. Jen and Emily decided to have a joint party since their birthday were close to each other so when I was thinking about what to make for them, I had the big and the small frame. 'Damn' was what I was thinking. Then it was time to think who I should give it to, which wasn't hard because I already bought the letters ages ago and so only the 'e' looked and fit well in the small frame. So hope they don' think I like one of them more than the other... Haha.

I'll start with Emily's, the small black frame. I actually took out the back cover and planned everything on there. With the small frames, it would be better to have a lower case letter as it provides more room for you to do things. So I was very lucky that I bought a lower case letter. I laid down the letter block and measured out the length so that I could make the flower box.

The flower box was made from left over wood I bought from Lincraft. The wood was actually from a package to make a ribbon dispenser shh! Now here's where my carpentry skills come in. Once I got the dimensions of the box, I started sawing away and used hot glue to stick the pieces together. Then I neatly wrapped twine around the box, with hot glue on the edges. The twine, hot glue gun and glue can all be found at Lincraft. The artificial flowers used here are from some asian store but I think I saw some at Lincraft too. The signs were made from the same wood to make the flower box, a toothpick haha and twine. On the back cover, I wrote my birthday message with white paint pen. I had a longer message but the tip of the pen was too thick so I couldn't write properly. Remember to get a thin tip :)
With my previous presents, I had photos printed out on photo paper and had them hanging but with this one there wasn't enough room inside the frame. So I just printed out small photos and stuck them evenly on the sides of the frame. It actually looked great!

Jen's frame. Unlike Emily's frame, everything was stuck on the back cover. So she could take out the back, just hang it somewhere and everything will stay on. Except for the little tree. Since the frame was much bigger, I could stick photos inside. I printed out polaroid photos on photo paper and stuck them evenly on the top and bottom.

The letter block isn't actually stuck on the back cover because I thought that she might want to hang the block somewhere else. So on the back of the block, I screwed in two screws, one on each side and then attached a string. To attach it on the back cover, I used damage-free hanging clips. Something else I have to tell you because of the letter block, the back didn't actually attach on properly. As you might be able to see in the photo above, there's a tiny gap at the top. So keep that in mind, if you wanted to make this one. In the empty space, I wrote my message, taking into account the tree that will be in the box. The tree is from Card & Caboodle. And that's pretty much it.
