Anyways, shall we start with Christmas Eve?
Wait, let's just start on Monday, 23rd of December 2013.
Well, I was meant to go work that day but my mum didn't wake me up so I ended up staying at home :) And since it was my little brother's birthday party on the 25th, I thought I should get started on the birthday cake. It wasn't hard when I had to think of what to do for him since I knew what he liked and I got some ideas from the internet. And so I decided to make a Skylanders themed cake. The cake is the portal with sugar cookies, decorated with different elements. I made the cookies first since I didn't have everything to make the cake yet. I only got to decorate some cookies since I didn't have all the colours to dye the icing. The decorating was terrible. Not happy with it at all. But yeah that day I was just trying to find the best way to decorate the cookies.
Tuesday, 24th of December 2013
So I did go to work this day. Went to buy some things for the cake. I decided to not make the cake from scratch because I knew I wouldn't have time (and I didn't) so I just bought Betty Crocker's chocolate cake mix and vanilla frosting. Once I got home, I started on the cake straight away because I had to go to church after. When the cake was in the oven, I went to finish the cookies and I found a better way to decorate it, still looked bad though. Once the cake was finished and cooled, I frosted it and stuck it in the fridge. Then it was time for church. Church started at 6pm and ended at about 7.30-8pm. After, we had a family Christmas Eve dinner at my uncle's house. We ate, talked, oh yeah it was the first day we saw Diem after she came back from Antips, and my cousin got some presents together for a game of pass-the-parcel. I didn't get home until 11 and just continued working on the cake. The first and second layers of fondant went on and I finished the cookies. That night I had to wrap the presents too. Once I finished I went outside of my room, and noticed that the house was getting bright... and realised it was 4.30am! SUNRISE :) Sleep time.
Wednesday, 25th of December 2013
CHRISTMAS! So instead of going anywhere exciting, like last year, this year my parents decided to have a birthday party for my little brother, who turned 5. So I got up at 9am, lazed around for a bit and then started cleaning the house, which is when people started arriving. Once cleaning was done, I went to finish the cake. Oh yeah, it was so bad working around the kids, because they just swarm around, ruining the surprise. The cake turned out alright, if I didn't have to rush then it would've been better. So we ate, yeah more food... it's that time of year. Took photos of the birthday boy, who couldn't smile haha. We also exchanged presents!! Always good to see how people react to the presents we got them :) Kim's friend, Jenny came over as well since she doesn't celebrate Christmas. Diem's family had to leave early to go to another party. That night, we swam and played Singstar until Jenny had to leave at 11pm. We continued to play with the kids. It was good because they still sang even though they don't know the song :) Think we stopped playing around 1am and then went upstairs to watch Now You See Me. But we ended up falling asleep.

Thursday, 26th of Decemeber 2013
That morning we woke up early as we decided to have breakfast at The Coffee Club. We also bought more presents and food because Diem, Thanh and Huong were coming over. Instead of going home after, we stayed there because the family was going to celebrate Diem's results at Yum Cha. So we ate some more and headed home. Diem, Thanh and Huong also arrived and we just talked and watched Supernatural. We also watched Emperor's New Groove, while eating lasagne. We had to sleep early that day because we were going to the beach with the family the next day.
Friday, 27th of December 2013
So my dad woke us up at 6am... And we got ready and waited for the other family to arrive. They finally came at around 9 or something. So much for the early wake up call. Anyways, we got to the beach and played in the sand for a bit then headed back up to eat. Yay more food... Gained a few kilos from all this food but we shall lose it with our plan coming up :) So after eating we went back down to the beach and played some more before we got told that we were going to Harbour Town for some shopping. First time shopping there. Not much to buy because we didn't have money but we did have enough to get ice-cream from Movenpick :) Went back home and to my absolute surprise, my camera arrived!!! Best day of my life :) I was soooo happy. It's like a Christmas present to myself. Also realised that Diem, Thanh and Huong were sleeping over again! So we decided to swim once it got dark. We also took a few photos with the new camera except it ran out of batteries before we could take some cool shots.

So Saturday morning, we decided to go eat at The Coffee Club. I know spent so much money! But the food is sooo good :) We also bought more Danish cookies. Yum! So lucky we planned to do something more productive later. All this food. Planning to feast on New Year too... My new camera went out to take some photos too :) I will post about the camera and my other purchases later in another post. |

Well this day, me and Kim spent time with another cousin of ours, Amy! So she came over and we went to this Korean Restaurant (forgot the name) somewhere near our place. She drove us so that was really good. After, we decided to go swimming with the kids this time. Not at night though because it looked like it was going to storm. It was also a good chance for me to really test out my camera and get my head around it. So yeah she just stayed over for a bit and we just ate and talked. It was really fun since we used to play with her a lot when we were little so it was nice to spend more time with her :)
