It's truly a great moment when my friends join me in turning 18. I have a few friends who turned 18 during May and few more coming up later in June, but their celebration isn't until the holidays so it's going to be a busy but fun holiday :) More memories to make.
So the first one to have her birthday party is Yvette, her birthday was last Saturday but her party was on the 31st of May. So she decided to have dinner at Grill'd at 6pm and then have an apartment party afterwards.
I met up with Yvette but she had to go to class so I was just sitting around, trying to finish her present. Not long after that, Viv finished her lecture and Yvette's dad called to tell us to pick up the keys for the apartment. So we just wandered around until Yvette finished her class. She arrived with Dat and Jay around 3ish and then we all went into the apartment. We explored the apartment for a while and then started decorating the room. After that, Anita arrived so she went to swim with Dat and Jay. Me, Yvette and Viv stayed back and got changed around 5. More people started coming while some people waited outside Grill'd. We didn't leave until 6.30pm because we had to wait for 2 people...Natasha and Alyssa! Haha. Once we were all there, I took some photos and luckily our tables were still reserved despite coming 30 mins late :) So I caught up with some people whom I haven't seen for a while, met new people and officially met one of my first Facebook friends (back in 2007) who I haven't seen or talked in my entire life haha. Before everyone went to the apartment, I had Yvette open my present since I wasn't going to go to the party afterwards. I must say it was an awesome present haha!
Gosshhh! Can I tell you how much I hate taking photos of people in low lighting. Hmm the photos aren't that good because of the lighting.. clearly I need to read more on shooting in low lighting. I also filmed the special day as well as take photos and planned to make a project for 18th birthdays called Another Eighteenth :) So here it is. Yvette's Eighteenth in visual form.

| So here is my birthday present for Yvette. I bought small objects and displayed them in a box, using pins, twine and sticky tape to hold them in place so that she can hold it side ways and it won't move around. I bought a letter 'Y' from Typo, the small cardboard tree, champagne bubble bottles and fairy box from Card& Caboodle, jewellery from Lovisa and Colette, Juicy Couture perfume and the blocked letters are actually stamps from Kikki.K LOL |
